Happy 4th

For our first July 4th in our new home, we got to host our Sunday school class' party. There were 10 families with generally 4 people each. So 40+ people, half of whom were under 5 years old. Fun was had by all. :)

Lane has been fighting baby food lately, so since Mommy and Daddy were busy hosting, we just gave him grown up food. He had pasta salad, goldfish, and a bologna sandwich. He was quite pleased, and sat in his chair happily eating and watching the party around him for no less than 45 minutes.

Ever since she was a tiny girl, Brynna has adored Munchkin. Here she is showing Munchkin her favorite room in the house.

Lane actually got to hang out with some real live big boys. He took notes on how to be loud and play with boy stuff.

Sweet Aravis found Brynna's sling and loved it. The look on her face here is just priceless. Aravis LOVES babies. She'll be a big (middle) sister next month.

This was the scene in Brynna's room. At one point there were about 87 kids in the closet. Daryl and I saw them pile out... it looked like they were exiting a clown car.

Brynna was so excited before the party and wanted to help get everything ready. At one point I told her that really the only thing left was to get the house straightened up. She beelined for her room and cleaned the whole thing. She even started on Lane's room before I called her to lunch.

Thank you to our sweet friends for making it such a happy day. Thank you too to all the military families who were not together today, because your soldiers are far away insuring our safety.
