Days 1 & 2

We started our trip by flying direct into Philadelphia on a Southwest Fun Fair. Don't you love Southwest? We stopped for real Philly cheese steaks and both agreed they've got nothing on Texadelphia.

We then drove up to my Uncle Dean and Aunt Nadine's in New Jersey where we spent the evening visiting with them, my cousin Katie, and Grandmother Ruth. UD (or Ski King as he's commonly called) and AN gave us room and board for four nights.

Day two was Mother's Day. We started the day with GrRuth at the little chapel at her retirement home. From there we went and watched my cousin Sarah's soccer game. I'm proud to say the Chili Peppers won and scored three goals while we were there (a total of four). After that we went and checked out my cousin Katie's work-in-progress-condo. One bedroom, one bath, in need of a lot of TLC, for about what we bought our condo. I told her she needed to come to Texas. That night we spent with aunts, uncles, cousins, and GrRuth at the Dean's visiting and eating. Brynna had a great time meeting her first cousins once removed, especially Matthew whom she followed around and played with all evening.

We ended the evening planning and getting advice on our next day's trek into New York City.
