Christmas Eve

We mixed up some reindeer food in the afternoon of Christmas Eve. This is a tradition we started last year. The "food" is just dry oatmeal and a little glitter for a touch of magic. Santa gets plenty of cookies during his all night gift run, but I don't think the reindeer get too many treats along the way!

Here's Brynna getting it all mixed together.

Daryl hates glitter. He suggested that next year we use cookie sprinkles for magic instead.... We'll see.

Spreading it around the yard.

Lane helped a little too.

Once the reindeer food was put out, we headed over to my grandparents' house for a big Christmas Eve celebration. Here's Lane opening his gifts before he had to go to bed.

And here is Brynna playing with Lane's gifts after he went to bed.

Precious little Christmas present.

Brett and Alexis opening their gifts from us and my mom and Dad.

Brett and Alexis realizing that my parents and Daryl and I both got them new toaster ovens.

Brynna modeling her super cute apron from B & A. She wore it all day Saturday, even in the car for the whole ride back to Austin.

Santa Wayne handing out hugs.

Posing with her Auntie and great grandparents.

Back at Grandmomma and Grandpa's house, Grandpa read "The Night Before Christmas" to Brynna before bed time. She was very excited about Christmas morning, but she'd had a big day and fell asleep right away.
