Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter. Lots of good food (if I do say so myself:) and lots of sweet time with family. My parents and grandparents came up Saturday. It was the first time my grandparents had seen our new house, and the first time my parents had really seen it since we moved in. Saturday afternoon was spent dying eggs and putting up..... SWINGS!!! More on the swings later.

The Easter Bunny visited sometime before Easter morning. We told Brynna the night before the she (the Easter Bunny is a girl, people!) would be coming, and Brynna just laughed and said that was silly! When we insisted that a bunny was really going to come fill up her Easter basket, she still looked skeptical and wanted to know how the bunny was going to get in the house. Was she going to thump on the door with her foot? Explaining that she's a magical bunny didn't seem to do much to convince her, but she dropped the subject. Here are a couple Easter basket shots.

Just like with their Christmas stockings, Brynna picked up Lane's basket first and showed him everything the bunny brought.

You might remember last year's Easter post about Brynna's first egg knocking experience. This year everybody tried to prepare Brynna and explain what was going to happen to her pretty eggs.

Her first match up was with Grandmother... And there were no tears!

It was so fun to watch her really get it. She went from person to person whacking her eggs and then checking to see whose egg cracked. I think Grandpa's egg ended up being the winner, meaning it cracked the most number of other eggs.

And what Easter morning would be complete without an Easter egg hunt? Thanks Grandpa for hiding all the eggs!
