Our Swings

Our new house has a huge beautiful oak tree in the back yard. I envision this tree as a much loved family member for many years. It shades just about the entire back yard, and it has fabulous, strong, long branches. Someday it will be a great climbing tree, but Easter Sunday Grandpa tranformed it into a perfect swinging tree.

After Grandpa finished the kids' swings, my grandfather (Granddaddy) decided that Daryl and I needed our own swing. So he wisked us off to Home Depot to pick out a porch swing for the back patio.

Pop met us at the Depot to help transport the porch swing and stayed to help put it together.

Granddaddy and Lane supervised the assembly process from the window.
