A Great Thanksgiving

Our little family had a great Thanksgiving this year. We got to spend time with both sides of our extended families, including both of our brothers whom we don't see often enough.
Steven and Jessie flew in from Seattle the Saturday before Thanksgiving, and we had a lot of fun hanging out with them and doing kid stuff for a few days. Their son Camden is about a year younger than Brynna and a year older than Lane. Brynna and Camden are just getting to the age where they have kind of started to play together.

Here are a few shots from our visit with Steven and Jessie:

On Wednesday we headed up to Dallas to spend Thanksgiving day with my brother. We got to see my parents, aunt and uncle, and my cousins too. My sister-in-law put together a fabulous dinner. We all ate way too much. Brett fried a turkey, and it turned out pretty good for a first attempt.

Here's a cute shot of all the cousins.

Hmm, anybody know how this thing works?

The finished product.

Brynna ready for food.

That evening we watched the Aggie game. My brother had e-mailed the family in the weeks prior to say that we could indeed watch the game at his house, and he would even be rooting for the Aggies, but he made it clear that no maroon was to be worn. With that in mind, Daryl packed a few extra shirts.

It was a great Thanksgiving week. Daryl and I agreed that it may have been our most successful and funnest holiday together yet.
