Family Reunion and Funeral

We've had a whirlwind couple of weeks. Two weeks ago we flew out to North Carolina for Daryl's grandfather's funeral. As I mentioned in the previous post, the Tripp family reunion had already been scheduled for that weekend. Daryl and I had not planned on going, but the Lord had other plans. We were so glad that we got to go. The funeral was a mix of sadness and rejoicing. Dumay lived a very long life and was very much looking forward to going Home.

We had a great time seeing and visiting with various family. One of the highlights was definitely getting to see Steven (Daryl's brother), Jessie, and baby Camden. Brynna remembered Jessie and Camden from their visit to Texas last May, and she seemed genuinely excited to see them. Another highlight for Brynna was getting to hang out with her second cousins (Daryl's cousin's sons) Isaac and Isaiah. She had a great time palling around with them and taking notes on how to be a kid. They were pretty fond of her too.
