Fredericksburg

This weekend a bunch of us girls met up in Fredericksburg for a little girl time. We rented a cute little cottage just off main street. We spent our time shopping, talking, laughing, but mostly eating. A fun time was had by all, and we agreed that it shouldn't be the last girls' weekend.

Brynna had a great time. She loved having five extra people around to play with. She was such a trooper riding along in her stroller from shop to shop in the heat, and she hardly complained about being out past her bedtime two nights in a row. She did have a tough time trying to remember everyone's name. Auntie Alexis became Aux. Grandmother Ruth became Goof. And my favorite, Cousin Naomi became Nomi-omi-omi! She didn't even attempt Auntie Carolyn, but the last day she tried Bereek (AC's nick name). It came out more like Beek, but it's a start.

Sleeping was a little rough. The first night Brynna refused to sleep anywhere but right on top of me or sideways right next to my head. Unfortunately for Alexis, she had to share a bed with both of us. I had a little head burrowing into my armpit all night, and Alexis got kicked in the head all night. The second night went a little better. She at least slept in her pack-n-play, but she did require a change of pajamas at 4:30 am.

Here are a few other favorite shots from the weekend. The rest will be posted on Picasa soon.
